3GJoinery was formed in November of 2003 and initially had offices in Castleford and a workshop in Kingsley near Pontefract West Yorkshire.
Due to expansion and the increase of workload the company moved premises in early 2005, and now operates out of two workshops and offices in Leeds.
The company is solely owned and run by the directors Mr Glen Williams (Managing Director) and Mr Gary Williams (Contracts Director). Both directors have spent all their careers in the construction industry involving mainly with the shop fitting and joinery element of the industry and have acquired a great deal of knowledge across the full spectrum of the industry including the house building and civil engineering sectors
The workload of the company is mainly in the Health and Education sector, with approx a 65% split with 35% in the Constructive / Retail sector. Our manufacturing works consist of an 8000sq ft joinery shop and a 4000sf ft polishing spray shop where we produce a wide variety of bespoke joinery items including Bars, Counters, Health Care Units, Doors and Door Frames, etc, to designated specs and regulations.
We pride ourselves in the high quality of work that we produce and our ability to meet all our clients requirements with a very “hands on“ helpful approach.
In a short period we have managed to acquire an extensive client base and carry out works on a sub contract basis to major main contractors on a variety of high street stores with ongoing and completed contracts for end user clients such as
Waitrose, Marks & Spencer’s, Tesco, Asda and the John Lewis Group.
We are also engaged in the refurbishment of Public houses for the four main pub chains,
Your Pubs Ltd, JR Lees, UPS and Admiral. In addition to these contracts we are heavily involved in the Health and Education sectors.
We have secured preferred contractor status with two main contractor who are BAM (formally HGB) and Styles and Wood with whom over the past 5 years we have built a strong and mutually beneficial working relationship resulting in being awarded The Styles & Wood Award for excellence 2005 as the greater contributor to gaining Styles & Wood a customer for life. This was mainly due to our works on the Waitrose Superstores of which we have completed over 40 medium and full scale refits in the past 2-3 years. We have also been the recipients of the BAM North East Regional Gold award for Contractor of the year in 2006 & 2008 due to our works on Retail Stores and University and Hospital projects.
In addition to our contracts in retail we have also carried out other major construction contracts for both the above along with other clients such as
BAM Midlands, Sir Robert McAlpines, Shepherd Construction, Taylor Woodrow Development, ISG Group, Baldwins and many more to mention.
Although we are still a relatively young company we feel we have been able to build a strong and stable infrastructure of both onsite and office based Management and trades people, who are well equipped to meet all the modern day needs of the Construction Industry. Hopefully with the help of our existing and new clients we will continue to develop and carry on giving the type of service with job completion our clients have come to expect.
